our.cryptid.childhoods

Whether it was a childhood influence by shows like unsolved mysteries, nature's mysteries, animal X, there has long been a cryptid interest instilled in my imagination. Much of my rather extensive academic career has been spent dodging assignments, searching the stacks of my university library, rummaging through the miles of material.  Although my research ranged through all forms of reports, I focused more on matters concerning Sasquatch, a topic that I have been actively following for most of my life.

My fascination with Sasquatch stems from many reasons; firstly, Why the lack of true scientific or government documentation?  The internet is plagued with an endless supply of spam-filled cryptozoology sites and crappy home-made hoaxes, it seems impossible to tell the real from the fake, and one can waste alot of time going down wrong avenues of this research topic. Through extensive government case files, scientific reports, and the litany of North American folklore, Every published material, every video footage, every sound clip, and picture generated, on Sasquatch encounters have passed my eyes.
and I have opted myself this very responsibility of sifting the gold from the dirt.

I differ from other researchers, in that I am not hunting a monster, I am seeking an answer. The main thing that I look for similarities; repetitions in encounters that may provide some sort of conformity to identifying true encounters from hoaxes.  Another thing I look for, is how the encounter has effected the person's life. Has the victim tried to make millions? or have they sought psychological help and assistance in accepting what they have seen? I look for the encounters that leave the person damn-scared and rightfully so; stories that are told by the person's relatives, because the person who encountered the beast, has been frightened to this very day to even speak of their event, in fear of drawing it back.
To me, this is more than just a confusing and convoluted conversation, but a string of unnatural evidence that can be both chronologically and regionally linked.  I hope that my ideas presented on this blog are read with a new age understanding of the physical world around us, and by those who have had similar ideals,

So what is the result of the mysteries of the known world presented in step-by-step multi-part documentaries hosted by failing talk show hosts? The result is a population that seeks the unknown 'monsters' as metaphors for the unknown mysteries that still exist in the known universe.
