flesh & bone or smoke & mirrors ?

I am a believer that there are some cases that will defy all known logic and will never be comprehended by mankind. I do believe that the origins of Sasquatch is one such case.  Presently, there are two radically different views concerning the manifestations of the Sasquatch species. One which classifies Sasquatch of being from no higher order other than that of flesh and bone, brought to our interests through the physical distortion of an evolutionary ancestor.  His animalistic instincts and reflexes, and his humanistic perception of intelligence, has helped him elude science and civilization. This view primarily originates from Northwest Native American folklore. The Sasquatch race lingers on the boundary of animal and man, however holds no spiritual power over them. Much of their activity is under the guise of night, prowling through civilization in the shadows, traveling great distances by floating down rivers, to be mistaken as floating logs.  These creature are held as fact to the native cultures, as recognizable and revered as bears and birds are.
The radically opposing view speaks of the Sasquatch as beings of inter-dimensional transcendental capabilities. This new-age belief receives much criticism from those who seek to document the Sasquatch as a live credible animal. Such stated observations are what keeps the Sasquatch from official classification and into the realm of the magical. However difficult this idea is to grasp, it may also offer answers to how the Sasquatch have been capable of remaining a cryptid species.  This highly spiritual view arose with the Midwest and Northeastern Native American tribes such as the Hopi, the Sioux, and the Iroquois. The emergence of Sasquatch race was one that originated through independent spiritual rituals, life journeys spent in social isolation and dependence of Nature for sustenance. The encounter was enlightening, through which the Sasquatch would reveal metaphysical secrets to those worthy to experience his presence.  To encounter the spirit animal of the hawk, bear, deer, -all were a great honor.  However to bear the presence of the great Sasquatch... Mother Earth, or Gaia, would have be speaking to you specifically, chosen you to bear the knowledge of the Earth.
In my opinion, truth can be pulled from either sides, proposing a my own fragmented hypothesis of an explanation. Each of the following ideals may be discussed in depth in future posts. However, IN MY OPINION, To argue Sasquatch's physicality is preposterous for very few encounters include a whimsical getaway(however there are some); but more commonly there is a large frumpy mess of stench-and-hair-retreat into the woods. They are physically track-able, for their marks are left among our land through footprints, stone stacking, etc. However to consider a creature that blends both the "natural knowledge" of the animal kingdom, and a "distinct intelligence" mimicking that of man's, would imply some sort of supernatural creature (1).  Much folklore discusses the omniscience of the Sasquatch. Native Indian elders refer to Sasquatch of being "both spirit and real being." Any creature with such natural world-connection, a heightened perceptibility to his surroundings, could surely stay one step ahead of any hunter. In cases reported cases where Sasquatch were stumbled upon, by hunters, no shots are ever fired. Sightings are constantly reported yet no physical evidence is ever brought about. Why is this?

Let's assume that the encounters with Sasquatch-type beings were true, and all the universally global accounts were a true documented experience with some sort of unknown being, or creature,  that has yet, to this day, eluded common human knowledge, -wouldn't it make more sense, if he was more spiritual then physical?
And perhaps not so much spiritual, but more psychological? More commonly than not, reports indicate the painful sensations of fear that individuals experience.  These encounters are more those that experience the presence of Sasquatch; not far-distanced observer, but a face-to-face encounter, or just in close proximity to the being, even just his knowledge of your presence.  Many individuals share the common fear about recalling their encounter, like the video provided below.  Matthew Johnson is a clinical psychologist who recently reported having encountered a Sasquatch. From every account I have seen of him recalling his story has been without tears, and mental difficulty in accepting what he saw.

Could this induced fear be related to what ancient folklore speak of the Sasquatch's "power of charming?"  Perhaps the reason Sasquatch has eluded capture, is because they are operating on higher levels than humans; our minds are physically incapable to mentally perceive their presence.  Yes, the Sasquatch are physical beings, made of matter, however maybe the truth of their origins begin to seem like smoke-and-mirrors because we have no other way to explain it...and we every much live in a world that only operates in levels of explainable science, or at least what can be examined flesh and bone in a natural science museum.
